Final project for an Ableton class. I tried to get a controllable stair step LFO pattern to sweep through the Wavetable but did not figure out how to do exactly what I wanted. Yet. It's in 12 and 7 and I legitimately dislike recording my voice but it's in there. I get to hear it through a $15k system in class tomorrow. Should be fun.

Getting to know Logic on my new laptop. Really digging the EAE Prismatic Wall with the SBMM Joe Dart, they pair incredibly well. I realized as I was doing my usual half-arsed mixing that I kinda made a Portishead tune. Oh well, it was fun. Used my Lorre-Mill Double Knot for the rhythm track and put it through a CB Lossy, among other things. Organs and cello come from my Mellotron, and the bass bit is my FSO fretless Jazz.

I've been incredibly sick as of late. I've made a lot of recordings, being home full time for now. My writing has been as prolific, if not more, than in my teens when I was penning 2 or 3 lyrics to songs a day with relative ease. Putting the lyrics through their paces has been difficult. I get tired, and my writing has been a bit ... moody.
I'll share a few. I consider a few as works in progress. I get tired and keep them short. Also some language in a few. I've been using AI voices. I have several I use on the regular now because they suit what I want. It took a great deal of time to find decent ones. I play where I can and supplement the rest. In truth I'm playing a lot more guitar, going back to my initial roots I guess I'll start with a guitar inspired one. I borrowed my brothers midi for bits and bobs.
I've been experimenting with uniformly un uniform writing as well. You'll see.
Also , my genres have been all over the map. Been into hip hop beats just recently

Just before Christmas I bought Studio One Pro 7 and moved our Yamaha Clavinova into the music room/office as a MIDI controller. Soft synth FTW! I am overwhelmed by the number of sounds and loops I now have available to me for recording. Next task is to go through them all and note my favorites. Also, the Deep Flight One and Lead Architect sound sets are infinitely tweakable, so it's a DEEP rabbit hole.
Fantastic drums on old vintage recording from 1977.
So there were some recordings made in my apartment back in the 70's. About 5 or 6 songs. This one never got finished and is just bass and drums. But it is HOT!
I remember I had to endure the drums being set up around the corner and in my bedroom as we did this recording in the front room on a 4 channel reel to reel. The recording has been saved by me over the years on cassette tape, transfered to mini disc in the 90's and laid down on youtube just recently as an artsy kind of thing at the request of the drummer who's still alive, lost track of such old efforts and now is retired from gigging in tennesse. These are old H/S buddies.
