Traben vs Lakland Skyline

I'm going to be the only person on thsi forum to say this, but I'd go with Traben.

Only the Chaos series though. All the Trabens with the big flashy bridges aren't that good to me. The Chaos series are very underrated though. Check one out.

You're right. You probably are the only one who will say Traben. :p
I havent played either, but Id say Lakland judging by the support they receive here on TB.

That Traben is waay overpriced.

Look at the Traben Chaos Core. They are the best Trabens IMHO.

Yeah that one is totally overpriced. Who would expect to get $600 out of an instrument that is clearly damaged for life?

Anyway, I like the obsession because of the neck thru/string thru design. And the fact that I have seen a lot of b-stock on Ebay supports the build problems, but I am counting on a good one (if I dont get convinced to go with a Lakland Skyline 55-01).

So, it occurred to me to look on youtube for the Lakland Skyline 55-01...and viola...I am now a Lakland fan. I am not too hot on the looks (Especially the Fender-style headstock), but the tone is outstanding, so I am officially in the market for one. Thanks for the posts and the Traben sample!
