Trace Elliot............ewwwww!!

Over here you generally get the Trace combos (1x15/4x10) and they are the biggest load of crap if you like older sounds...I couldn't ever get a decent sound out of the bloody things coz they all appeared to be scooped mids with the EQ bands in completely the wrong frequencies...my Ashdown mag is 100 times better tone-wise, but thats just me!

Truth be told, I have not played many of the Trace combos, other than my Twin Valve Combo (which I just love, btw).
 
The setup I played was an older one. It was a 1x15 combo (not sure of wattage but had to be at least 300w) and a 4x10 cab was connected to it. No matter what I did with the eq section, nothing changed! I'll assume there was a problem with the eq section of the amp!

Many Trace Elliot amps have an EQ-bypass switch...
