Trade a jazz for a Geddy Lee?

I stop by the G/C that I bought my new Fender standard jazz mim last week today and they have 2 Geddy Lee's. Well after talking with them they talked me in to playing it, real nice bass. But here is the question, they offer to trade for either one. One has a small chip on the body in the back for $700 or the other one which is perfect for $750. So is it worth $300 more for the Geddy Lee as I'm just learning the bass but I'm loving it so I don't think I'll be putting it down soon. What do you guys think?

Just tell her the list price is like $1150.00 and you got it for only $700, so you saved $450.

Oh yeah, and tell her when you get home with it....not before you go.

Easier to get forgiveness than permisission. :D

That sounds like that saying where the guy goes. "I used to pray everyday for a bicycle untill I realized that it didn't work that way. It was esier to steal the bike and then ask for forgivness". Or something real close to that. :p

Labor Day sale price at Arlington, TX GC for a Geddy was $712.80 out the door. Tax and all.

Edit: GC will likely come off any tag price if you're willing to haggle with them. If they won't meet the price I was quoted now, I bet they will at the end of year.
