TransBlue with Tort PG?

Here's what my Sadowsky Vintage 4 normally looks like with a Mirror P/G. I put a Tort PG on it. I kinda like it but I kinda don't. What do you think?

I like the way the mirror flows with the control plate.

that is EXACTLY how I ordered my fretless 6. Chris called me before spraying it stating it wanted to be burst.... so no trans blue and no tort. I do dig it as is, but if I ever do a P or a J it'll be blue with tort!!!

My OLP Stingray is pearl blue with a mirror pickguard and it looks sick with the large chrome bridgeplate and chrome knob plate, so I vote Mirror, but!, The tort looks good and may look better with white pickup covers, I've always liked that for some reason.

I love tort, but ONLY on white, black, natural, or burst. I just don't dig it on any other color, especially blue or green. For that bass, my first choice would be white moto, second choice, clear, and third choice mirror.

While I think that the tort 'guard looks great and would totally fit with what I play and the stage presence I would want to project, I vote for the mirrorred 'guard for the heavy stuff.

What a nice bass, though.

Nino, I'd put in a vote for black, but not three ply. More like a piece of slate...or ebony. Pickguard screws to match, as unobtrusive as possible.

Bakelite with a bad attitude. Just a thought.

As I mentioned in a recent sea-foam green thread: I love tort in many situations, but not with cool colors such as blue and green.
