TransBlue with Tort PG?

Normally I love Tort' PG, but with the blue I don't like it. I have a LPB Precision and use the off-while PG. Black with the blue would probably look good.

If my bass I might try a gray pearloid PG.

Clear looks really nice imho. The oil finish is superb, and the clear stuff really shows it. I like the Chrome one too. Tort... Doesn't work for me.

i think the mirrior looks good, the tort looks good in the second not the third, and, the clear looks kinda lame...

would it be at all possible to make a maple pickguard so you could match the neck? i think it'd look cool.

I'm not liking the Tort. IMO, Tort looks good on Vintage colors. Black, White, Blonde, Sunburst, CAR, LPB.

The Mirror is still my favorite but I just laid a BWB p/g that I took off of my Valenti J4 and it looks really nice.

I think it's really busy with the tort, and pearloid would probably be the same way, I think a b/w/b would look great.

Not a big fan of the tort on that. It'll work on trans white or natural, or solid colors. But not trans blue.

Now I wonder what a Marcus Miller would look like with a complete tort setup...?

The mirror looks good now, but I think once it gets some scratches/marks on it, it will not look so good any more.

I like tort in general, but not on that color. Takes away from the trans finish IMO. Maybe if it were opaque blue it would be better.

Here's what my Sadowsky Vintage 4 normally looks like with a Mirror P/G. I put a Tort PG on it. I kinda like it but I kinda don't. What do you think?

While, I think Tort PGs typically are very cool & classic looking. There ARE some finishes that just dont look right w/ a tort PG, & I think your trans blue is one of them. Id go black or pearloid white.

I've had the Mirror p/g on there for about 3 1/2 years. It doesnt scratch very easily.

Something doesn't look quite right with the tort...but the clear just sets it off! My vote would be to keep the clear on there...it looks great!
