Double Bass travel bass?

in october I have to do some concerts in Africa and I have to take many airplanes.
I know that today it's very very hard (or impossible) to fly with your own bass in a flightcase (that I have , anyway) without having problems (extraweight, taxes...).
so I'm planning to buy a travel bass. wich one?
I'm thinkin' to
-Czech Ease
-Eminence
-some acoustic bass with foldable/removable neck
consider that usually I play with gut strings and it's fine for me playing gut strings on travel bass to.
opinions?

I've done the czech ease and bass rental. I would highly recommend making your own bass a removable neck. You will be playing your own bass with no intonation issues and none of the alternatives will sound as good. Ask Rufus Reid, John Patitucci, Marc Johnson, Eric Revis. IMHO.

Just out of interest which countries will you be playing in. If you are playing in the southern region I will be happy to rent my bass out.
