When I brought home both my Jag and VMJ 70, the bridge spacing sucked, especially in relation to the magnets on the bridge pup.
So i ordered the American standard thru type bridge and swiped the parts to the E and G to use the offset cuts in the saddles to correct that.
Retained the ole tin bridge, had to drill it out to use the slightly larger screws.
Helped take some of the "ting" out of the G and resulted in a nice clean tone.
And an awesome Quarter pounder fell into the bridge pup spot on that VMJ...balanced the output of the pups nicely
