Actually, shouldn't be last resort. It is a near perfect solution.

You could try to draw your own. Make it a little different. If you have a big piece of A3 paper and lay it flat. Get you body drawn out and create a custom look. Just trace body and use a gauge to keep the line half an inch inside the lower curves. Get that lower appendage to be more like a p-bass or more like a tele deluxe even. I tried this for my G&L L2500 tribute. To see if a pick guard would look nice.

Oh and what about this.

Wouldn't the bullet bass fit yours?
That one is for USA Bullet, not right in the control area and screw placement sadly, but I appreciate the thought and suggestion:thumbsup: lowphatbass had one hiding somewhere and has graciously sold it to me:hyper: I do love WD though...great guys to work with! Just ordered an aged pearl for my Dirnt P-Bass and a red pearl for my CAR Cabronita P-Bass and tracking says I will get them today. Didn't show the Cabronita bass on their site but when I called they said it was a do-able at same cost as the Cab Tele and BAAAM, hammered it out post haste. Highly recommend those guys. Thanks for the link though Cney. I appreciate it;)and I owe ya one.

I'm not sure if they're for amp jewels. I came across them on eBay. I think I searched "bass guitar gem knob". They were only like $7 for a set of 2.

Many thanks! While I did not locate the "amp jewel" tops in red you guided me to, I did see some, just not available in red, and did find red pearl tops which worked out very well for me with the pearl guard, so here's the pic and thanks again for the tip. I owe ya one gregmon79! (I apologize for the crap picture and posting a non-Squier, but I promised:thumbsup:)

I want that neck on a white body & the black blocks neck on black body. i'd have to buy two & swap.

My new (second hand though) Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass '77. Changed electronics (cts pots, cap, wiring), knobs and pickguard. Still not sure which I like best, the original maple/black/black or the maple/tortoise/black...

I would go with a pearloid Marcus miller type scratch plate. Add a separate tone and series/parallel switch to compensate for the extra holes. That would be killer.
