lowphatbass came through! Thanks lowphatbass for the guard :thumbsup: and everyone else for the suggestions and taking the time to consider options that might be viable. Not bad for a 32 year old Bullet and a great player I might add. I am a happy guy today.

*twiddling thumbs and waiting for a number*;)

Just finished up this tricked out (to me) Squier, but not much Squier left on this one...'51 CV Precision Bass with a '51 MIM Cabronita P-Bass neck and reverse tuners, '51 RI PUP and pots, and some pimp bits. Has got to be my favorite Squier in the bunch right now but you know how that goes. A favorite until you pick up one that you haven't played for a little while LOL:laugh: But I'm pretty sure this will be a fave Squier for many years to come. Really digging every one's modded out Squiers, keep 'em coming!

LOL, au contraire, the bare neck was Stratosphere purchase. I have appropriate documentation. The tuners from a 60's Classic Series neck that I had that got a gooched up truss rod. It's to protect from claims to the contrary. Obscuring the number is a pretty common practice to protect the instrument. A person could file an insurance theft claim with YOUR number, using YOUR pictures as proof of ownership, get paid for said imaginary theft of the instrument THEY don't even own, and then YOUR instrument, while never having left your house is now a stolen instrument.

A stolen guitar will NEVER play for you. A stolen instrument is a Hell-worthy trespass!

If anyone interested in trading--I have SD Quarter Pounder Precision set available for trade in the classifieds. I'm looking for more vintage style P pickups but I guess I could just sink the QP's into the body or turn the vol down.

Throwing a set of Chromes on my Affinity Jazz V, and decided to take the pickguard off to do some cleaning while I had the strings off. This is what I found. Good job, Squier. Better routs than many Fenders I've seen (and owned).

Probably not going to leave it like that, but it's nice that I have the option. Can't do that with the bathtub routs on my Fender 4 string.

I can neither confirm nor deny that I am Nicolas Cage. Let's just say that no one has ever seen us in the same place together.
