Steve Swallow is one of my favorite bass players. I love his work with Carla Bley. His tone is distinctive. One of those bass players who can play 1 measure and you know who it is. I couldn't find a youtube of this version, but here's the live version. 12 bar blues in F with lots of chromatic lines.

I saw him live once, in Brussels, but I can't remember the rest of the band
His bass playing sounded very "Bach" then.

Thanks, vilshofen. I notated those D chords as D7, just because that's the way Steve Khan did, but they do sound like D-7, which seems more intuitive anyway. And the ending makes much more sense as 4/4 followed by 2/4. I edited my version to reflect these changes.

I don't agree with this.
Yes, Scofield plays F's, but it's blues, so its e# or #9. Swallow always plays F#, often the b9 and b5 as well. In measure 8 and many others he plays Am7b5 D7b9. The 7b9 chord is typical for resolving to a minor chord, Gm in this case. So, I would write Am7b5 D7 everywhere.

When I have time, I'll have a listen at the notes too, because on a quick first listen I heard some things differently. Could be a few weeks though

Could someone have a listen to the last chord, please?
To me it sounds like Scofield is playing G7 and the horns play C + G in bass. So, Cmaj11/G ?

I agree. I hear a Cmaj7 plus an F somewhere in there. Maybe that F is the b7 of the G7 on guitar. Bass definitely plays G.
