Depends who you ask--I've seen some scientists who say they are & some who say they aren't & some who aren't sure either way.
Scientists are like that.
We mostly get to hear the ones with the good press agents.
They may be right or they may be wrong, or somewhere in between--but there are ones we hear more about.
But things like that are rarely ever agreed upon across the board.
And history has shown that sometimes the ones in the majority were wrong.

The raptors in Jurassic Park are more like Deinonychus, sans feathers. As I understand it, it's not certain whether or not Deinonychus had feathers.

Maybe--I haven't expressed an opinion either way that any creature alive today is or isn't a dinosaur.
I'm not a scientist, but I do know there is more variety in their views than what we see in the mainstream media.
That's my point.

No. Crocodilians existed at the same time and in parallel with dinosaurs. Think of it as squares and rectangles. All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. All dinosaurs were reptiles, but not all reptiles were dinosaurs.

Actually, both of the mentioned roots for foxtrot uniform charlie kilo are urban legends. I thought it was for unlawful carnal knowledge as well but that is apparently not the case. It goes back quite far in the English language. I don't if the censor will let this link work but Wikipedia has a good read on it.
