Not that the original was a *great movie* at all, it was definitely groundbreaking, and certainly has its fans (ME!)...and waiting this long, and seeing what I'm seeing in previews and hearing what I'm hearing and the choices they are making, this is EXACTLY the type of niche movie Disney needs to make right now, amongst a slew of really banal sour "family fare" they keep drecking about (I know that's what they're built on, but they are so far off the pulse of what constitutes a "current" family movie it's ridiculous)... even the Pirates movies went south in a big way...

I really truly hope they don't screw this one up. 3D or otherwise. SO much potential. Somehow, I think this one will be very smart, clever, "now" and satisfying.
