Truss Rod Help - Before I make a mistake :)

I just picked up an Ibanez Gio Sound Gear what was defretted. It must've had light gauge round strings on it before. I picked up some medium flatwounds and the string height is high toward the base of the neck. Will a truss rod adjustment make the action even down the length of the neck? I was expecting it to be bowed in the middle like some of the adjustments I've had to make to my guitars but bass is obviously going to be a bit different...

Thanks guys!

There's a setup guide stickied at the top of this forum section.

The truss rod will need tightening, the nut probably needs to be lowered unless the defretter knew what they were doing, and action and intonation will need to be adjusted.
