Trying to do a modified VVT setup, having issue (edit: FIXED)

Here was my planned setup:

Nordy Big Split Neck
Nordy Dual Coil bridge with 3 way Series/Split/Parallel, running the neck side coil in single (which is the "Neck" wiring, according to Nordy):

Both pickups run series/parallel together on a DPDT switch (with the bridge's switch outputs being the "+" and "-" on the DPDT)
Volume/Volume/Tone with cap select added on a push/pull.

I wired it all up according to the standard Jazz wiring setup with series/parallel -

I can't tell you how many times I've wired a VVT by itself successfully. And I've done plenty with the series/parallel mod as well. But this one is being difficult and I'm not sure why.

IN PARALLEL MODE:
- Turn down the volume on the neck pickup, no problem, bridge works fine;
- Turn down the volume on the bridge, it turns BOTH down (master volume-style).

IN SERIES MODE:
- Both volumes act as master volume.

So what am I getting wrong here? Or what issue am I not seeing?
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

There may be too much interaction between the pickups' inductance, capacitance and resistance along with that of the volume controls and associated capacitors. It may require a pickup selector switch as used on regular guitars [neck, bridge or both] to isolate the pickups possibly prior to or post tone circuit. Just my semi-educated guess. Thmj.

Okay... I figured it out. Turns out, I'm kind of a dumbass sometimes. But I'm a tenacious dumbass who doesn't give up.

All of the above wiring DOES work. You CAN have an intRA-pickup switch AND an intER-pickup switch that work together. They work well, as a matter of fact.

- When wiring said pickup to its own personal switch, the outputs of that switch coincide with the + and - leads of a pickup by itself. So if you're going with a master S/P switch, follow the wiring and it will work.
- You can also do this with 2 separate pickups with separate switches. Same thing, follow the diagram properly and it will work.

What NOT to do? DON'T put the output wire on the center lug like I did. The diagram I followed for this, I accidentally drew wrong when I copied it to put on the bench. For some reason, I kept making the same mistake, thus the result of the bridge volume acting like it did.

Anyway, here's how it sounds with the following settings:
Bridge only, single, parallel, series;
Both in parallel, bridge series, parallel, single;
Both in series, bridge series, parallel, single.

You know, I almost suggested that but I've seen your other builds and figured you had that part right. Oh well, I wish I could say I haven't made an obvious mistake then spent an hour or more trying to track down a complicated solution. Glad she's working!

I must have made a similar mistake years ago when I was reviewing diagrams to see if series/parallel per pickup AND overall series/parallel was possible, & at the time I came up with NO.
Maybe my memory is failing me, but it feels like I reviewed it many times, LOL!

Also, I've NEVER seen it done on any stringed-instrument, be it guitar or bass.
Looking at the diagrams today, it seems obvious that it is possible, so I wonder why it's not done.

I also wonder how I thought it was impossible for years, and I don't mean figuratively.
