Not sure if this is the right section but thought I would try to find one of my old Bass teachers. About 25 years ago, when Mars Music still existed (Albany, NY), I met Calvin Jacobs working there.
I heard him testing out a bass and immediately begged him to give me some lessons. We had a great time, and lessons would regularly run twice as long as scheduled. I moved away to law school and lost touch with him. I've tried to find him over the years but never could. I hope he is doing well. He had regular jazz gigs and also did stints playing for (I think) the Marvellettes. He was a great guy and a monster player. If any one knew or knows him, I'd love to hear from you.
