I am finding it to be nice note recognition exercise. It definitely is helpful in fingerboard mastery. I also think it is a really beautiful composition.

But I quickly came to the realization that I needed to approach them solely for their instructional value rather than as performance pieces. I have no intention to ever perform them publicly. My hope is that the improved technique and musicality gained will inform my playing in whatever performance opportunities I do have.

...and I will have a crack at 846. But I need to do this one again first as there is a mistake that is bugging me more and more as time goes on.

I too am learning this one at the moment...going slowly, I mean sloooowwwly.
My reading sucks so I am focusing on reading, i.e. recognizing and playing the notes on the page, rather than learning the fingering and memorizing the sound, done enough of that already.

I will post later than July 1. I have so many videos of me playing fragments of songs with mistakes. I want to play the whole thing flawlessly when I record it.
