Two different pedals... same price, help me decide!

I have the opportunity to buy a used

EHX Mini Q-Tron or a MIJ Boss BF-2B Flanger!

They're both being offered at the same price including shipping ($135 Australian)

I'm not sure if the flanger is a bit over priced, but I do know that the japanese made boss pedals fetch a bit more.

That seems really effing expensive for the flanger. I have one, and it is cool, but I paid well under half of that price.

Also, it doesn't matter where Boss pedals are made.

I'd buy neither. Already own a flanger and I'm not interested in the Q-Tron. Save the money!

I personally do not like either of those effects on bass (flanger/filters) but if I were gonna go for one it would be the EHX.

I love both of those effects on bass, but that's about $105 USD, which is too much (in our market). I would go on ebay.au and search on "completed auctions" to see what they've sold for locally.

listen to bongo. but of the two, i'd go with the q-tron. it's funky.

Those Japanese Boss pedals price higher because of collectors. You can get the same effect for less money. I think the EHX is a decent price.

the q tron is a good funk machine. i dunno what kind of music you play but youd probably end up using that more than the flange. Or at least I know I would.

and the winner is........ neither! I just bought an analogman mini chorus with deep setting

although I'm still GAS-ing for them both the chorus will have to do me for awhile.

the flanger seems rather over priced, i'm sure i could do better.

I think I would definately have gone the q-tron though, i'd still like to get one of those some day.

The end of the pedals comes when I actually pull the trigger on a Ring Mod and an Octron (still debating 1 vs. 2).

And either fix or replace my Hot Tubes.. I'm leaning towards repair.. I need to replace the stupid plug EHX uses with a more standard (and secure) method of making sure the plug stays in the socket.

yeah.. FoxRox is about to reelase the Octron 2.. it's a limited edition release that adds a couple of features to teh Octron 1... I just need to determine if the additional features are worth thr extra cost *L*

save your money and get a boss bf-2 flanger. much better
