If you had to choose between le bass and AMT S-11 (with bass EQ cranked up of course), which would you consider to be better for both clean and dirty channels
The LeBass is bass specific and the AMT is guitar specific, so I'd go with the LeBass for both because it is voiced specifically for our instrument
Best of luck with this, I am sure you going to love it. It takes a little playing with to get it figured out and dialed in but it's certainly well worth it. Tons of tonal options and flavours. I wouldn't have a board without one on it.
My reason for getting it is to be ampless at most gigs. I get my sound, let the engineer have fun mixing.
I'd always had my Le Bass early in the chain on my (small) pedalboard. Last night I switched things up and placed the compressor right before it and only the HPF/LPF after. It was as perfect a tone as I've ever been able to come up with. Brought the gain up a bit on the compressor to kind of drive the Le Bass a bit. The signal coming through the chain allowed me to keep input level down on the Mesa D800 and I was getting an absolutely pure tube warmth sound that was both smooth and articulate. Tried it through both my Epifani stack and Ampeg 610 and both were equally religious.
I think this is pretty much the best way to use the Le Bass. My rig is ampless so I get a pretty good tone, but you must get really luscious. What compressor are you using?
It's a Carl Martin. I'm kind of surprised that it doesn't get a bit more love around here.
I'll definitely give it a try. The Broughton is a fairly recent addition. I actually don't even know why I put it last, it just kind of landed there.
Another thing I haven't tried is using the effects loop. Is your compressor always on or do you just use it on certain songs? Do you run other pedals into the effects loop as well?
I was very happy with my first use tonight. We rehearse with headphones and electronic drums.Everyone thought I had a new bass. They couldn’t figure out why it sounded so good. Everyone in this thread knows though 
I keep my compressor in the loop as well. Gives me just the right amount of punch.
I also just added a MXR 10 Band EQ that serves as my Boost pedal. I was using a standard boost, but I realized that I wanted less lows and more mids for clarity when I solo instead of just more volume. The added bonus is that it lights up my board like a Christmas tree!
Next purchase is to replace the A/B box with a Radial Mix Blender so that I can integrate in multiple basses and have a blendable effects loop, then I'll be working on an effects only board that can connect into this board for the rare occasion that my gig requires effects.
Played an All-Star jam at a Fest a couple of weeks ago and had to use the house bass rig, which was a Sansamp Bass Driver into an old Yorkville power amp powering a ratty old Hartke 1x15 cab. I turned off all of the processing in the Sansamp, plugged in my board, and there was “my sound.” I NEVER play without my board these days.

I have the same EQ but I would need to get a bigger pedal board, not sure I want to go bigger. I’m trying to get smaller and lighter.
The EQ isn't really a necessity for me as far as tone shaping goes, I get the sound I want out of just the Le Bass and the Keeley Compressor Pro. I really wanted my solo tone to not just be the same sound but louder, but instead I wanted to kind of bump up the overall volume slightly, drop the lows a little, and add some mids to cut through without a huge volume spike.
I definitely understand smaller and lighter. I went from a loud funk/dance band to a neo-soul/new retro group with impeccable stage volume, so I ended up pulling the envelope filters, octave pedals and drives off of this board and ditched my 30 pound rack and 95lb Bergatino cab for an Aguilar AG700 head and an AudioKinesis 1x12 cab.
My whole rig is a single carry for me - the AudioKinesis cab in my right hand, an old Anvil case with my pedalboard, cables, mic, etc in my left, my bass (usually a 99 EBMM Stingray 5 or a 76 Precision with flats) on my back with my Aguilar head in the pocket. I found a bag that holds both my mic stand and my instrument stand that I generally carry in the same hand as the AudioKinesis cab. I've never been so content about my bass rig as I am right now.
