The H3's curbweight is about 4700 pounds, but the H2 is going to be a good bit more.
To the OP: I really don't understand your lumping these all under the "military use" umbrella. The H2 is nothing like the military-spec HumVee, and the H3 probably has more in common with a Toyota Prius. Hell, even the civilian-spec H1s are not that close to the HumVee used by the military. By your same size-based argument, do you hate the Dodge Magnum? How about the Chrysler 300? You should. Their wheelbase is 9 inches longer than the H3, and they only weigh a few hundred pounds less.
For the record, I drive an extended-cab, 6-cyl. 1999 Ford Ranger. I very rarely haul things in the bed of the truck, as it was intended to do, or tow anything with it, and far more often than not, I'm the sole passenger. Lately I have been looking at late-model, full-size trucks and SUVs, and will NOT consider anything smaller than a crew-cab w/ a V-8. I will remain the sole passenger most of the time, but could use the extra seating room with my new job. Bite me, hippies.
