Me: "Yes you can, it's loud as anything."
Him: "I wanna be able to feel it, man, I want it to be louder than my guitar."

Quote from my current guitarist:
"Okay, the bass has to be way louder. This song needs a lot of bottom end."
and
"Why don't you turn the bass up more, and maybe do a solo in this part?"

I guess I've been blessed.

I agree... I have some of his solo stuff and he has some really unique and interesting playing on those. You can definitely hear some shades of what RHCP sound like in his solo albums.

My guitarist always asks me to turn up, but really it's only so that he has a reason to turn up as well.
