Or you ask a very specific question asking for answers within certain parameters and you get answers wildly outside of that criteria. Someone calls it a Troll Thread.

No matter what question you ask, someone will give a Richard Cranium answer.

I think typical talkbass is a mob mentality when an innocent question gets jumped on and OP is belittled and sarcastic replies are given

I encourage my students to seek information online, I often suggest Talkbass.

I have since learned that two of my students had they typical TB welcoming party and the immediately got soured on the experience. I think one of them had the audacity to suggest he enjoyed his 4x10 and 1x15 pairing. I now have to give people a warning chat before coming to the site...
