Can do the photo but not the love, always felt the 45 was a decent bass hampered by a lousy tone circuit.
Vol,Vol,Tone would have been a much better idea.
Interesting man, could you mod it up?...that's nice one, rich color on that burst.

I should have went Vol,Vol,Tone, got lazy and it lay dormant for years.
Last year I sold it, week later the new owner messaged me complaining about the tone circuit
My 1989 Peavey Fury came to me with DiMarzio PuPs. They were way too hoy. They over-drive the amp and sound bad. I bought what was advertised to be Peavey PuPs from eBay. They fit but I had to file the pickguard a little around the ears on the PuPs. So obviously they came from another model or year, if in fact they are Peavey. But they sound great and I'm going to keep them.
My filing job was not that great. But I had already ordered a new pickguard because the original is very scratched up from a pick player. So my question is this ...
What's the best way to file or sand the pickguard around the ears on the PuPs to get a nice clean fit?

I can help! I just enlarged 2 mini-switch holes in a pickguard, to accommodate switching to volume and tone pots. It went so well, I was actually shocked! I was able to make perfect circles with this file. It would be perfect for what you want to do. It’s flat on one side and curved on the other. It came in an affordable set I got at Home Depot.
My Ibanez that I modified into a T45 tribute has a useful tone circuit, based on my not so thrilled encounter with a stock T45.
Blade T40 pickup, 250K volume pot, 500K tone pot (push/pull for split) .022uF cap, 500K pot hooked up to a Wilde Q filter tuned as close to 425Hz as I could get. I don't use the Q filter much, but it's tuned to be a mid cut, so I can get some deep, dubby tones when turned fully CCW, or it just gets a nice, modern clarity when just slightly rolled back.

Thanks, the idea is good, but the file is too small. I have them and they're too small for the ear on the PuP. But good idea, maybe I can find a larger one with the right radius. Thanks.
Roll sandpaper around a tube or even a pencil of approx diameter. Take it slow, keep the tube plumb, check often.

I always feel like having a passive bass cut is just a marketing thing. I worked on a toby bass a month or 2 ago with one, and it was the most useless thing. Just seems like a way to trick people into thinking you have a traditional eq circuit without the cost of actually including one.
I've posted about this band before, but I just got confirmation from one of the members on social media that this EP was all done with a dyna bass! They're one of my favorite modern rock acts for sure. Even if it's not y'alls cup of tea, i thought I'd share just for the novelty

The file doesn’t have to be the correct radius, just smaller than the intended final results. But, the sandpaper/pencil idea works too. Just take your time. I marked my pickguard with black sharpie, and then just filed away the black.... perfect!
