Do any of you guys have a source or measurement for replacement hex screws for a trapezoid bridge? The ones in this parts one I just picked up are all pooched, and I wouldn't mind swapping them in some of my others. I can't imagine they're not an off-the-shelf part, I just don't know what size. Thanks!

Not sure about the size, but McMaster-Carr has a great selection of hardware (once you figure out what you need)

After some digging through the TB archives, I found a post from Mech saying that for a t-40 bridge, the set screws are 6-32 thread and 7/16" long. These are also good replacements for the trapezoid style bridges. Here is a link to the ones I bought. I got the 3/8" ones since most of the time these saddles are too high as it is, but they have a few other sizes, though no 7/16".

Glad you found them. I have just gone down to my nearby Ace Hardware with a saddle screw and found replacements after looking through the individual part drawers and threading the saddle screw through some small nuts to make sure the threads were proper. Then I had to check to make sure the allen key size was the same. Old school hardware search! haha

Both are sold, hope someone here got them.
Turns out one is a four string and one is a five string....both black n maple and both with cases. :bassist:

Early Dyna are a Foundation (sometimes 5) with a preamp (commonly switchable).... since they're not trendy, places like Craigslist, Kiji and Music Go Round will value them at deep street price discount.

It's been a while but I busted out the TL-Five for last nights gig. What a player! I think it will go back into the number 1 slot!

I had a 02 MIM Fender Jazz 5 that had the Suhr designed pickups and preamp in it that I used for a good while. I just picked up a Sire v5 5 string that I've used on the last few gigs. I gave the battery cover to a friend to see if she could replicate it on her 3-D printer but she struck out. I finally got the cover back after 6+ months and put it back on and decided to pull it out for yesterday's gig. Forgot how smooth that bass plays and how great it sounds.

Those pups in those deluxe jazzes are killer. I have a fender zone mim, and the bridge pup is one of those under a solid cover.

Price drop on this bass. Its a refinish, the guy states its a Mahogany body, I don't think so, looks like poplar or something, maybe Alder...?

I have a mahogany one and this isn't one. The grain is wrong and the color much lighter. My guess is that someone stripped the original finish and then applied a mahogany stain.
