Gen 2 Fury in sunburst at GC.
It's $399 which is expensive for a Fury but it looks stock and in good shape.
And if it were any other USA made 80's bass any of us would gladly pay two or three times as much.
If I didn't have four Fury basses already, I would buy it.

Not a common color for sure. I definitely don't need a fury, but if it weren't 399 I might have picked it up.

I PM'd the seller, he was very nice! He changed the ad to Alder. Overpriced for a refin me thinks...
Pretty sure that refin Patriot is not Alder, Peavey used Poplar for their basses that got opaque paint colors.
One of the reasons that I think the sunburst Fury at GC is nice is because they had to use better looking body wood pieces, they couldn't get away with just using three randomly grained pieces together, it looks like maybe one piece or two pieces glued down the center line.
More like luck of the draw. I've saw quite a few poorly matched Cirrus and let's not forget my Koa Dynabass

That's unfortunate. Mine looks like the top piece on both sides of the NT. It's so light that I dare not take it outside lest a gust of wind carries it away.
Just came into possession of this 5-string 2nd generation Foundation. Date on the inside of the neck says November 7, 1997. I had one of these from '95 in white a while back and have kicked myself for selling it, so when the opportunity arose—this time in formal black—carpe bassum. The single coil passive pickups on these things really are excellent: quite hi-fi and more in character with the active VFLs that would follow than the super ferrites. Compared to my '95, this one has no trussrod cover and a Fenderish round string retainer instead of the nice bar which retained strings E-A-D. It's quite light and after I shimmed the neck with a 0.5° wood shim from Stew-Mac (to avoid using the micro-tilt), the action is ridiculously good. Just a lovely, lovely fiver!

Put some early era tuners on my late era foundation today. Really love these tuners, if anyone has any spare ones they’re not using, feel free to let me know! Shame they don’t cover all the holes, but I don’t mind, they look great from the front lol
Just put a dab of wood filler over each hole with your finger and wipe off the excess and it will look great !
So last night I took my RJIV to band practice. It sounds SO good. I got so used to playing my passive P bass with EMG's that I was craving that tone and this bass does everything perfectly. Cuts through, has a tight bottom end, and the drummer thought I was playing a fretless. Maybe it was my style, but either way I'll take it.
That's all I lack in my Peavey collection...very nice! Is it blue or grey? Im waiting for the right one to come along!
I should've used my new camera. It's my favorite color - gun metal gray.

There was a gray one on Reverb about 6 months ago...I should've jumped on it
Those are great tuners. The wood filler tip is exactly the right thing to do.
