EDIT : I WISH they would take down that sold Dyna bass already ! All they're doing is rubbing it in my face that it's sold, LOL.
For $400 they could at least glue the neck pickup cover properly, the bobbin for D&G has dropped.

Probably did have foam. Pity Peavey skimped on adding 10 cents worth of springs.
Ah, I see what you meant. My B-ninety had the pups sinking in from being hot glued into the covers, and that’s what I was expecting. I’ll take no glue and a substantial amount of foam over springs and glue any day.

Another overpriced Fury (no affiliation). Again, you can ask that price, but not getting it, imo. And it's red.

Just last week a very active poster on one of the Peavey pages boldly stated its now impossible to find a decent 40 under $1k

Probably a stupid question and probably answered somewhere in this 1059 page thread, but why did Peavey stop using Super Ferrite PUs on their basses? Was it the cost of making them? did they have issues? I owned a 90s Foundation bass, a Peavey Fury and several other models that were made overseas, but only recently got to own one with the Super Ferrite pickups - I really love how these things sound, I know it's all a matter of personal taste and all but I would take them above most of the other stock pickups on most other basses. Got some info on what they are technically speaking, but not why they stopped using them.
That's a great question but I'm guessing it was cost. Also the move to active pickups...that's where the development $ were going. I would like to understand this more also. And I share your sentiment....what a great pickup they are!
