I had a Eureka moment once when discussing splitting T40 pickups with a tech here on this site. They typically split to the bridge side coil, and since they are all wired and wound the same, that has the hum since it's two similar coils. I applied ABY switch logic and came up with a plan to split one pickup as T40 pickups typically split and ground out the opposite coil on the other pickup. In theory, this applies RW/RP coils, so they should hum cancel. Drew this up, went down and rewired the bass and was happily surprised with the results!

My drawing splits to the inside coils. Just apply the bridge PU wiring to the neck, and vice versa, if you want to split to the outside coils.

Fun fact: the phase switch on a T40 swaps the bridge pickup coils when in single coil mode.

Yes it does, but at the expense of out of phase, wonky tonality when blending with the neck pickup. ;)
Give me in-phase pickup settings on my bass, just so it keeps sounding bass-y.
I have rewired a few T40s, repurposing the phase switch as a master coil split. Same with Rippers: wiring them up to provide a much more pragmatic four positions of neck, neck + bridge series, neck + bridge parallel and bridge.

I got this one from the one and only @JEDI BASS in beautiful condition and a fair price too for such a rare gem...

Upon close inspection, I noticed that at one time it had stickers spelling the word Jesus on it, you can't see it unless you really look in just the right light...so I lovingly named this one "Pink Jesus" since I'm a carpenter too! LOL!

Oh man, I remember for years the MSRP of a Cirrus was $1699 or something like that but the sticker/street price was more like $1299.00 plus tax. Millennium, I have no idea.

When the birds eye maple Millennium 5 was discontinued in 2002 , MSRP was $1600. Pau Ferro / Maple models lasted to 2004 , MSRP of $1400. Birds eye maple 5 Plus , 2004 ; MSRP $1900. Pau Ferro/Maple 5 Plus ; 2003, MSRP $1700.

I only have figures for 2005 Cirrus . MSRP for 5'ers went as high as $2500 for the tiger eye, Claro walnut $2050. Standard 5'ers $1900.
