U.S. Peavey Club

I regret selling my old Foundation, but I had a question for this thread.
Are Peaveys still made in the US?
No, they haven't been made for a few years now and sadly even the main Peavey campuses in Meridian,MS are all closed. The only way to get used USA Peavey basses (or anything USA made Peavey) is on the used market.

Foundations are still widely available on the used market, so don't worry.

My Fury quickly became my favorite pick up and play bass, the tone and playability are just soooo good, so I decided to grab another one. Maybe some of you saw it on eBay yesterday? These are the listing photos, condition looks considerably better than my current one, hopefully it arrives in good shape!

That looks really nice. I like all my Peavey basses. I can't pick a favorite model, they all play so good.

Congrats on your new Fury. Looking forward to your review...

Nice !!! I love that term, "Pick up and play" bass. That's exactly how I feel about mine !! It's simple, and no batteries, etc. That's why mine is always on a stand next to me. Congrats Lujon !!!

Those two single coil SF pickups I'm pretty sure led SOMEBODY to do something about shielding . . . . but I don't think Reynolds Wrap is the right solution. At least this one doesn't have a big PC Board wedged in it, and using real copper foil or conductive paint would not be that big a job with three pots and a jack.

I had Dyna Basses from that same time period, and I would advise against heavy strings. Try the usual 45-105 or thereabouts set and see where you're at. One of my Dyna's had a neck I could bend a half-step by pushing on the head while I had it on a strap !

Reynold wrap could work as shielding. If you could only solder to it. Try that one day if youve forgotten how to curse.

We finally got our video done. Billy Ray Gunn, the bandleader and rhythm guitar player, did all the filming and editing. I used my Peavey Millennium JJ 4.

That was freaking awesome, very well done, both the playing and the video are killer!!! Love your version of the Proclaimers, and the video composition and editing were all quite good. It was entertaining, visually interesting and an excellent compliment to the song, well done!
