Same. I like tapers on the B and sometimes the E. Keeps those saddles from going too far back into the bridge.

The VFLs in my Cirrus sound amazing through a Nordstrand 3B

Anyways
after putting sillmic II Elna caps in my boss OC2 and rjiv
I noticed more bottom end but subsonic? And certain sweetness too the top end even with my Emg x pickups
In my g bass I used nichicon audio grade UKW and the higher yet UKZ for the Other side
I noticed a certain clarity and balance yet a more pronounced low mid grunt and high mid
in my audio clips it’s definitely apperant that you can hear the cut/ string clank
Different sound profiles
allthough different instruments
It’s apparent

Of course different value and voltage will change the size and give a higher ripple current which should push more low end

Just an observation that I never even considered. Now I know why I love my alder/maple Cirrus SO MUCH !!! My RJIV is also light, but I've NEVER owned a Cirrus that is so light. My 2002 Cirrus 4 is 7.14 lbs !!!

After that mess and the probass
I’ve learnt.
I like doing it and the effects it had. But I have fine motor skill issues. So holding a pencil is hard. I shake like a leaf

Have you checked out the East Uni Pre? It's a monster!
It's wild for a solid body bass to be under 8 pounds!
On a weirdly related note:
I have a 98/99 Carvin BB75: it's very fancy and modern: neck through construction, 5 piece neck, koa body, ebony fingerboard, active electronics, black hardware, etc... It's my lightest bass at 7#10 oz (since being defretted), and the kicker is that I bought it with a gig bag, but found a used hard case that fit it perfectly: a 90s era Peavey Cirrus case! The molded plastic one with the green interior. I found it rather funny, just because this bass is pretty much in the Cirrus wheelhouse... Especially the fact that I bought it used in 2003 for what people were paying for nicer Peaveys at the time: $250

Amazingly, my lightest bass is my G.Gould ggi6. It weighs 8 pounds, 13 ounces. I bought it off Reverb and the seller told me it weighed about 10 pounds which is typical for this model. Imagine my surprise when I found it to be so light.

There's 25 Peavey's on GC Used today, including a 1983 T-20 for $359, including THREE Fury's for under $300 !!! I play my Fury every night. It's on a stand next to my TV chair and I'm always amazed how good it is.
