Same. I like tapers on the B and sometimes the E. Keeps those saddles from going too far back into the bridge.I have used those Tapered Prosteels before and many other tapered strings on all my Peaveys...I prefer a tapered B

Have you put the bass under stage lights and gotten back like 50 feet?
Kind of like a VanGough, doesn't make sense up close
The VFLs in my Cirrus sound amazing through a Nordstrand 3BI’m considering trying a different pre again lol
Delano?
I’ve always wanted a Tct with buffer like an older Tobias
I'm surprised you arent changing out the film caps alsoSo going back to caps and my pro bass failure lol and more
My dads a drummer and has always been into anything audio
Car audio
home theatre
etc
so I’ve been getting more and more into it after this whole cap thing lol
Anyways
after putting sillmic II Elna caps in my boss OC2 and rjiv
I noticed more bottom end but subsonic? And certain sweetness too the top end even with my Emg x pickups
In my g bass I used nichicon audio grade UKW and the higher yet UKZ for the Other side
I noticed a certain clarity and balance yet a more pronounced low mid grunt and high mid
in my audio clips it’s definitely apperant that you can hear the cut/ string clank
Different sound profiles
allthough different instruments
It’s apparent
I’ll link the thread I found on the audiophile forum
Of course different value and voltage will change the size and give a higher ripple current which should push more low end

After that mess and the probassI'm surprised you arent changing out the film caps also
That hits on so many levels:

It's wild for a solid body bass to be under 8 pounds!Just an observation that I never even considered. Now I know why I love my alder/maple Cirrus SO MUCH !!! My RJIV is also light, but I've NEVER owned a Cirrus that is so light. My 2002 Cirrus 4 is 7.14 lbs !!!
