Like Bleecker said, (I think, you know I'm always mixing people up) I'm surprised it's still there. I love that color, and the case is a $200 case alone.

Three of those $200-ish Furys are gone already.
If I didn't have an ash Gen 1 Fury, I'd grab that ash T20 in a hurry.
Does anyone here know if the string spacing is adjustable on this Wilkinson bridge? I have this bridge on my Axcelerator 5.
Aye , it's adjustable. Wilkinson bridge doubled as a 4 and 5 string unit.

Week later "the best bass I ever played" is £700, then it drops to £650/£600/£550 etc. Somebody buys it for £450 and the whole "£800 Best bass ever" BS starts again
This just happens with T-40s , to experience total silence list a DynaBass for sale in the UK

At the moment in the US is terrible. EVERYTHING that carries the Peavey logo is overvalued (Peavey Decade anyone?).
I've been trying to acquire either a B-Quad or a Cirrus 4 bolt on and it is just impossible... I might have more luck when traveling to europe at this point...

Peavey's entry into European markets came at a bad time, start of the big push was early 80's. That saw the rise of Japanese production and final years CBS/Fender and Norlin/Gibson. Confidence/interest in US products was low and Peavey's fairly basic offerings struggled to gain a foothold against the Japanese goods.
Afraid that never changed as years passed.
Upshot is prices are lower than the USA but availability is scarce .
No offense Murivan, but Listen, I love the "secret" we have all had for years about Peavey basses, and that we could buy Millys and Cirri for dirt cheap, but I don't for one minute think the current prices of Peavey instruments are "overvalued"...I think its high time that people started valuing them more! I love a great deal, but I don't think $1500 for a Cirrus is outrageous by any means. Now, when it comes to T-40's and T-20's, thats for y'all to decide cause I don't have any desire for one...not my cup 'o tea. But Foundations and Dyna basses in the 500-600 realm, I have no problem with at all...its all worth what you're willing to pay. Same with Milly's....they are killer basses and to me they should fetch more than they currently do...imagine a USA Lakland for $700! Absurd! Compare a Cirrus to a Spector....now go get you a USA Spector from the last 30 years and then tell me Cirrus are overvalued

How many basses have a used price that is moderately higher/higher/considerably higher than the price when they were new?
In general it tends to happen with things that you can no longer buy (and here we can say "check" as Peavey no longer manufactures basses) (EDIT: probably it has something to do with scarcity as well) or that reached the "vintage" status, that I have trouble defining but I think can be exemplified by: A Fender Precision Bass from 1961 (the difference with the previous point is that you can still buy the "same" instrument). Another possibility is with things that you -could- technically buy, but because of supply constraints you cannot (a good parallel might new cars in 2021).
EDIT: And with Peavey it does not stop at basses. Tell me that the Decade guitar amp, that costed 89$ new, and recently sold for 650$ on Reverb is not at least a bit "bizarre".

Y’all don’t wanna hear how many used US Laklands I’ve bought/owned and sold for considerably more than I paid.
When you love an instrument and don’t want to sell it, and someone else literally begs for it and says name a price... and you name one... and they pay it... well, in one of my instances, I sold a ‘99 55-94 that I paid $1600 for for $3600 and I wish I never did it :-( . All that said, I’m trying to land a nice Cirrus 5er for under $1,300. I missed a somewhat chewed up one for $400 on F-book earlier, by a few minutes.
