Dynabass is a $450 to $550 on places like MGR & eBay. The custom 8 string neck narrows the market somewhat, could get you a buyer or put them off.

Roland unit changes hands for $500 to $600. Cheapest used Breedlove is $350 , most in the $500+ bracket.
Epiphone T-bird $3-400.

Fella offering the trade, his gear for Dyna +$300, has done his homework.

You have to decide if you can use the trade gear or sell part/all for profit against how much actual use you get from the 8 string Peavey.

I found the synth and the tbird for like $200 & $250, respectfully. The breedlove I cant even track down one like it. As far as the octave bass goes Its kool I mean its loaded with almost $700 worth of hardware not counting the body with just the pups but it doesnt really fit me currently.
I felt it seemed a little lopsided. I understand that I wont get back all the equity in it but if I parted it out I would get more than 500$.

Yeah I was leaning that way. Although if they wanted to do it straight across for both and the synth, no cas, I think I'd pull the trigger on that trade .

That Thunderbird is before the new (way, way better) pickups came along, not a great sounding bass.
That particular Peavey is a unique animal.
Don't trade it.

Agree. Thunderbirds are generally weird basses to play and always sound muddy in a mix.

Agree. Thunderbirds are generally weird basses to play and always sound muddy in a mix.

The new Epiphone Thunderbird 60's Basses are as close to a 1965 Gibson Thunderbird as Gibson or Epiphone has been in a very long time, the new probucker pickups are good, and the bridge/tailpiece is good.

Or if you want a bass that isn't quite as ergonomically ridiculous, the new Embassy reissues are really nice, at least mine was, and it has the same new tbird pickups. Tbird tone in a much more comfortable package, at least to me.

Just now seeing this and noticed you live on the coast. Me and some guys were down there fishing this weekend, weather killed us. We caught about 60 specks and reds, but only 8 keepers. Where do live down there, I'm from Oxford.

Instead, I routed my $40 Gen 3 Fury (the body and pickguard) and put in a $55 Chinabucker Thunderbird pickup.
Sounds like a Thunderbird, plays like a nice Fury.
