U.S. Peavey Club

No.

Nuts set string height over first few frets and string spacing. How much excess material there is outside of E & G is of no consequence.
Thank you and sorry for so many questions, but I have one more. I hear what you're saying about excess material outside of the e and g, but wouldn't the string spacing on the new, less wide nut be slightly smaller than the existing one?

Tusq does have blank nuts that are 1.75. I guess I could line up the old one and file new slots myself in the worst case scenario.

Due you an apology.

According to Elilif's T-40 info sheet my 1st gen Fury nut is 1.71". Goes some way to explain why the stash of 43mm graphite nuts in the parts drawer are a perfect fit with regard to width/string spacing and thickness.

Hunt for a 43mm graphite nut , 3.5mm thick; height 4.7mm to 5.7mm.

$15 shipping to the US cancels any point in posting the seller's link.

Measure from the edge of the nut (the edge that faces towards the bridge) to the center of the twelfth fret.

Multiply that distance by 2. That’s your scale length.

Run the G string bridge saddle almost all the way out, towards the nut. Place that saddle exactly at the scale length.

Works for any and every bass.

Hey guys, I'm kinda new to talkbass. I was here previously discussing a vintage Aria Pro 2. Now i m looking for some input on my custom 8o's peavey Dyna octave bass that I actually have listed here.

I got a couple trade offers but not sure if I should pull the trigger on ether of them. First is a Bredlove acoustic 6string w/ a Roland GR55 synth. 2nd offer is for an epiphone thunderbird also with the synth.
Or both guitars and the synth for my peavey and $300. Whatchu guys think.

Keep the Peavey. None of those offers are worth doing, imo.
