I forget if I bought the 9K or 10K but it sounds good in the spot where the split p pickup was."Available in 9k or 10k resistance"

When our very own 'God of Thunder' Scott Dasson gave it the thumbs up, I needed no further convincing.Funny because the Thunderbucker Ranch, Lollar and Mike Lull were way more expensive and I don't know if they sound any better.

Single coils ?What pickup do you like best in your 51P builds?
Out of all my vintage Peavey's I find the Patriot to be the one I pick up the most. It's the lightest for one, but boy does it really cut thru a mix.The humble Patriot is a fine single coil P-bass![]()
Me too. I find it to be nearly perfect. Mine is like yours with the calligraphy font. I have half rounds on mine, too.Out of all my vintage Peavey's I find the Patriot to be the one I pick up the most. It's the lightest for one, but boy does it really cut thru a mix.
The humble Patriot and the T20/Gen 1 Fury both! When our very own 'God of Thunder' Scott Dasson gave it the thumbs up, I needed no further convincing.
The other 3 probably sound no better or that much different but folks hope that by name dropping aftermarket brands and $200 price tags they will appear serious to the uninitiated
Single coils ?
TBH, they're all pretty much a muchness. That said I didn't like the Duncan SCPB-2 or 3. A surprising one is the alnico 5 plenty Chinese eBay sellers list, think Duncan SCPB-1 but for $15 - $20
With regards to humbuckers. The Bi & Chi Sonics sound great but they're in different positions from the T-bird, Thunderblade and Entwistle Neo.
Not to let folks in this place feel left out.

Nice....on the high side I think though. But for a minty 5.... I dunno. No affiliation. Did you see the minty Dyna 5 ? It's listed as a 4. It looks like it has never been touched.

Entwistle Neo is a split-P with no connection to The OxI am curious about the Thunderblade, Bi-Sonics, and the Entwistle Neo's.

TBH there's no need for that much output .
THAT is clever ! I like that. I just looked at it and someone sure got a cool bass.Amber Alert - Red TL5
did anyone see our pal Amber has a Ferrite TL that's coming avail?
I would love to play a slant and chime in. I only have played Gen 2 & 3 and love them. Merry Christmas everyone!Who here likes their Gen 1 (Slant) Fury better than their Gen 2 & 3 (Split P) Fury basses?

I have not owned either version. The closest is my 94 Forum Plus, which is really a P/J equipped Gen 3 Fury.Who here likes their Gen 1 (Slant) Fury better than their Gen 2 & 3 (Split P) Fury basses?
