I am curious what action height you T-40 folks are running with? I am new, but mine seems pretty high, friend that plays bass noticed it too. Trying to get an idea so I can go thru full setup and set the saddles properly and not in orbit..
I set my basses to .070 at the 17th fret, sometimes .080 depending on what strings.
I like neck relief set at .009 or .010 at the sixth fret.
If I can't get the action that low, the neck needs a shim.
If I can't get a neck to .009 or .010 relief at the sixth I don't want that neck.

Yes , the basic dimensions of the T40. I did not take your pickup apart since we know what's already in there and I did not want to damage your metal cover. I just wanted the basic do so if I built something it would fit like a T40.
Also I'm making some adjustments for the slant diagram. I forgot the magnet and I could tell my caliper battery was dying so I'm going over all the measurements.
Will post updated diagram soon along with what I have on the T40
Getting the number of turns down. This coil is 4.11. Going to give it a paraffin bath tomorrow. Will see how much that changes the reading. If it drops down lower than 4ohm I'm going to rewind. This Slant coil is around 2k less turns less than a SF. Getting this coil ready to send back to Bleeker.

That looks great Matt! Is that getting the big (slant) magnets? I do wonder what a 5-ish ohm wind would sound like
Well, clearly there was a range at Peavey because mine is reading 4.22 and the other two we saw were at 4.01

All measurement are in inches. I am in US and American bass, but international forum so making sure..
For the action @ 17, you have a Capo at 1?
For relief, Capo at 1 & ??, then measure @ 6.
You shim the neck, not use the built in adjuster the t40 has? I take it you shim all 4 corners so neck comes straight away from the body, vs the adjuster changes the tilt? Is there a way to measure and make sure the neck has the proper tilt? (on no tilt..)
Update to my main modded Peavey bass, the "most famous medium scale Peavey bass on TalkBass"...

I’ve already got an amber one and at one time fancied another, to convert one of them to fretless.If you fancy avoiding those and can live with the amber finish, mine is in a case under the bed
However, I sort of thought better about that idea but I would really like to get hold of a red Palaedium, especially a very tidy one.
There a lad over Newcastle way has one of each finish. No idea if he still plays them as our last conversation saw him hunting for those Cort basses Jeff B uses.

Yes, in Texas.
Measured in thousands of an inch.
For the action...no capo, just measure the space from fretboard to the bottom of each of your strings between the 16th and 17th fret.
For the relief, I do capo at 1 and then hold down the string at 17, 18, 19 or 20.
Then I slide a .009 feeler gauge between the string and the sixth fret.
Some people prefer neck relief at .010 or .012

Well that puts it very close to what mine reads.
Spotted a case labelled "1st gen Fury" while hunting for that Forum.
If it'll help Matt I'll gladly take a reading from it.
I would like to know.
So far we have 4.01, 4.01, 4.22 and Matt's 916 pickup at 4.19
If there is another slant to be made I will back off 100 turns and see what that gets. My first try was 3.88 based on a guess. Did some math and came up with a number that got 4.19. backing off 100 might get a zero after the 4
