Are those ALL trimpots on the back of the control cavity cover?!

I haven't seen that many even on super-ridiculously complex effects pedals

The bass has 2 output jacks, so you can use it to do stereo output.

Each string has a piezo pickup. Each piezo has 2 pots on the back. One pot controls output gain for that piezo. The other controls the L-R panning of that piezo in the stereo output.

The controls are on the front are:

Master Volume
Stacked Volume/Volume for the VFL pickups
Stacked Treble/Bass boost/cut
Piezo Volume
Piezo passive tone control (i.e. treble rolloff)
Stereo/Mono switch

I already posted this in the T-40 thread some months ago but I guess it wont' do no harm here either. I had it refinished by my luthier right off the bat (the black stock color didn't even have a finish!). The bass sounds and looks awesome although the neck isn't as comfortable as on my P-bass. Still loving it though.

I love it - the sound options with the piezzo is unlimited, and it feels and plays perfect. Jealous for your BB's signature

Bean, Congrats! Your Foundy looks real nice, and those SF pickups, too! Other than a string change, you should be good to go-when it arrives.

Flats on a foundy - I may have some (cleaning space). I've had tons of requests to bead convert - I'll normally install ghs light tapes for this conversion (not flats) they're slightly more articulate

For a bquad - ghs super steel lights are a great value string ---- balanced tapercore stainless

I like D'Addario Chromes as flats. Good sound.

I had flats on my Foundation and, as much as I like flats, didn't care for them on the Foundation. Just give up too much tonal variation. Bass came to life when I put Ken Smith Burners on it.

Still have Chromes on my Fury. Seems better suited to them.

I agree rook. Tapes are as far is ok- still not great

I cant tell you the number of folks who insist on a string that's away from the engineering intent

I guess I'll be primarily looking for more of a subdued sound (think Macca's picked Ric or Jbass ala White Album). I was under the impression that a foundy could pull off P and J sounds pretty well, so would that put me in flatwound territory, or should I maybe also consider Roto Swing 66's?

Well, string selection is entirely a personal preference. If that creates the sound YOU want, then have at it! It wasn't that the Foundy didn't sound good with flats, I was just looking for more variation.

I'm thinking flats with the bridge pickup turned down, neck pickup turned up...good to go.
