And it was insane yesterday with the heat. We are just standing there and the s w e a t is just dripping off our noses, hair (we were in the shade)...just unreal...my poor Fender. I didn't stick it right back into my icebox bedroom when I was done but put it in the other room to cool off a bit before it hit the arctic zone called my room. I wiped it down later but it needs a total cleaning from that sauna of a practice session.... so much for keeping that new string twang on that baby....:ninja:

Thanks for the tip on the strap. I do NOT want to know what this strap would have cost brand new...its wide padded black glove/garment leather with big chrome rings down the back and on one end it ends in 3 rings, theres another set of rings attached and then another strip of leather to go to the button, with a floater set of rings between the two. Killer [mint] actual Levy strap that I really got for $15.

And THANKS, KIM!!!!!!! I will look around online for the truss rod tool and I will keep in mind about not sure if it will work for the Foundation5. If it does thats cool, if not I will see what I can find!!

Do you have a local music shop? That's where I got the tool fo rmy Palaedium. It's the same tool used on Gibson guitars for many years so it's likely to be in stock everywhere. The allen ones generally are easy to find as well. Bring your bass and take off the little cover which usually covers the truss rod adjustment and you'll be able to find exactly the tool. Sometimes it's worth it to go to a real brick and mortar store.

Yea I have to head to my local shop in a couple of weeks, I think I will take my T40 with me and see what they got that will work. Might be an interesting time, most of the people working there aren't old enough to know or have seen a T40 but they have heard of them.... :p

I picked this TL5 up from TB member theschnitt a few weeks ago and got around to taking pics.I'm getting to really love this basses tone and playability.The EQ is just killer,a couple nights ago I jamed with a few friends and we played Little Wing and I boosted the low end for something different and it just rumbled the room,very cool with the guitars on top.I've had to adjust the neck quite a bit since I got it but it came from dry Arizona to very humid midwest weather so it's probably still getting acclimated.These really are great basses,I'm glad I picked it up.

As far as I know, all the basses with a lacquer finish like mine in the Dyna-Unity Series are Poplar.

I would imagine that they go by density and many woods overlap each other in hardness/density. They probably have a target weight that the finsihed body should end up weighing.... Like the T-40's weighing 9lbs without the neck :D
