U.S. Peavey Club

I've only had Peavey basses and amps for a decade. I've tried all the others, but always came back to PV for some reason.

anyway, my current stable of basses are shown below. I'm almost done completely "blacking out" the G V. I just put new Gotoh black tuners on, put some Cirrus knobs on. It's looking cooler.

My amp is a ProBass 500 head, and either one 410 TVX 4 ohm cab, or my new Tour210 Neo cab on top of the Tour115 Neo cab for a nice, super light mini-stack.

I need a number since I guess I really ought to join this group. I have multiple American Peaveys. I have 11 right now but I have to trim a few out since I REALLY can't find time to play them all enough. The problem I have is that I like them all -- VERY much. I think I am going to put several up for sale so that I can thin out the selection by having buyers make the decision for me. The Millenniums will never leave my possession...I was lucky enough to jump into playing bass when MF has the clearance on the Millenniums and I bought two.

Foundation 4 string
Foundation 4 string fretless
Foundation 5 string
Foundation S
Foundation 2000 4 string
Fury 4 string
Axcelerator Plus 4 string

Millennium Standard P/J 4 string

Dude, I know they're not basses, but what are those funky lookin' guitars? I've never seen those before, and you've got like three of them. :)

The ones with the points going in all of the "wrong" directions are Peavey Razers. I have a couple more of them in other finishes. I worked for Peavey back in the mid '80s as an industrial designer and worked on all of the models you see in the pictures. I didn't get around to collecting examples of my work until recently.

StoBro and Stevem627, thats a LOT of PEAVEYS :eek: Makes me and my 4 (that were dubbed 'the Pack O Peaveys') look like strays from the main herd here. :D

WOW some righteous Peaveys there both of you :bassist::bassist:

Someone on the first club thread had a pic of a bunch too. Can't remember who it was though!

Oh regarding the rattling G-key? The G key on my '92 Foundation was rattling too. A bandaid too care of it for now until I get a new set of machine heads for it. I am going to mod mine slightly and put black tuners on it so I am not sure where you could look for a set of factory machine heads for yours though except eBay. With my Foundation, I won't part with its factory machine heads though or I would offer you one of my good ones. I may visually mod it but I intend on keeping all factory parts I swap out on it for future 'restoration'.

I'm looking at a Peavey T-20, which I've really been impressed with the look of. Bad reason to buy one, but my experience with Peaveys is pretty good, and I've found this T-20. It's in near-mint shape, and he's asking $400.

I personally think it a bit steep, but we knew this kind of thing was going to happen more someday... but is he asking too much? I can trade him for work- he needs work done on a house and I'm a carpenter, so no-brainer- he's with it. But I'd like to know if I should try and talk him down first...
