U.S. Peavey Club

BIN for $199 + $23 shipping.

Well I don't really care for heavy basses, and this one will likely weigh a ton.

Just too cool of a bass to pass on. Never seen that finish on a Peavey, looks a bit like this G&L Emerald Blue below....

Neither of 2 T-20's I had were really heavy. Much lighter than my T-40's and T-45. I would say no more than 10lbs. That's a nice color, both I had were natural.

I was jamming with my Foundation4 earlier tonight. And the T40 yesterday, giving the Cowpoke a break since one of his grounds is not right, right now. I need a new battery for the Dyna or else just suck it up and tear into it and see just what I knocked loose that night when I did the Q-back tackle into it (and the rest) :p

Hey Knifemaker, you are so busy right now and I'm not sure just when I can get to you (gas hungry Fords and gas prices still up there) is there any way you might could, post here or in a PM some instructions on how to work that tilt on the necks? I have been playing all my Peaveys needing some set ups for /my/ hands for awhile now and I am beyond ready to smooth them out to be what I know they can be. I would like to be able to even out and polish the frets while they are all apart as well. Not sure how to do that or what I need. Help?

That's encouraging Neil, but 10 lbs is still a bit much for me these days, I'm afraid.

Maybe I'll get lucky. If not, I'll have a phat stay-at-home bass.

I thought I was already on here but I guess not....As far as peavey gear goes I currently have 2 Peavey nitrobass amps, 2 115 bvx cabinets and one 210 tvx cab. I've owned some other peavey gear in the past. I should be getting a BAM head this weekend and I'm hoping to find a us made 5 string for a decent price. Add me yo!

Yes, that's why most people host their pics on other sites. The TB image attachments are pretty pitiful.

Yes, I see it squashes the size and res. I don't remember it doing that before. They should just change the parameters to a smaller pic size and resolution. That way we could save them in that size and they would look OK. Oh well..........:)

Well my T-20 arrived today. It's in great shape, plays beautifully, and of course sounds terrific.

The color is a lot like LPB. It weighs just under 9 3/4 lbs.

Interestingly, the Super Ferrite is twice the size of those found in the Foundation and Patriot basses. It looks like two SF's nestled together in a housing unique to the T-20. The bulk of the pickup is unseen beneath the guard.

Unique bridge as well, the coolest "bent plate" bridge I've ever seen. And to finish off the cool-factor, are the incomparable cast "P" knobs.

Score!

Beautious!! I always took that thumbrest thingy off, I never anchor my thumb and it got in the way. Yes, it's a different looking bridge indeed :D

Its a beaut but its only got one pup and 2 knobs :ninja: and I'm some freak that loves tons of knobs and at least 2 pups on my axes :bassist: I don't know why, :help: I just do :hiding:
And could I have used any more smileys in that comment? LOL

Don't dismiss the T20 because of the single pickup. Yes, it's a single coil (Super Ferrite!), No, it doesn't sound like a P bass with the split coil...but...it absolutely smashes the single coil P sound...with a lot more gain. Plus, you have the Peavey playability factor...and the cheap cost of admission...

I have known more than a few 'gear snobs' who have taken a liking to the simple T20.

Kim

^_^ Howdy Kim!!! Hehe I'm not a gear snob...though I guess I am with Peaveys and I am getting that way with Fenders I think -meaning I 'approve' [more] if you play either :p But I guess I looked down a bit on that T20 cause it doesn't have a ton of controls....oh the BF is tearing the Dyna down as I type this...we can not find out for the life of us what got knocked loose regarding the passive setting on my EQ when I fell into it that night...everything is connected like it should be though I know we gotta be missing something *sigh* guess its time to pack it up and take it to a shop...so I suppose its off the market before it even went up on it... I can't bring myself to sell it with its passive setting knocked out like that.
