U.S. Peavey Club

There is but one photo. In that one it looks fine, however, there is not much detail to be seen. Price seems on the high side to me.

I think that the price is high, showing as $1082 CDN to me with no indication of a case. I just paid $500 CDN (just under $400 US) for the one on its way to me—with the original case, all in great shape.

I think you got quite the bargain. I paid $400 for my G bass in a non original hard case. The bass has one very small mark on it and plays/sounds fantastic. The G bass made me want that B string so now I will keep looking for a good deal on a GV. I'll sell the G after I get a GV.

I never thought I would see the day that my bass collection had more Peavey basses than any other brand. Right now I have 6 Peavey basses. LOL

400-500 for a G bass is a fantastic price. $800 is on the high side for sure. My problem is I don’t like burst finishes

Oh and Chuck - if you ever want to sell that Cirrus 5 back to me I’ll buy it lol! I like my Millys better, but in some situations, I’d love to have another Cirrus.

I love the sunburst finishes and especially on the GV.

I was playing the Cirrus 5 today it is a great bass. I might be talked into selling it back to you.

Well, I’m chuffed to hear I got a good deal—and I think made a new bass buddy with the seller. The new GV makes 7 US Peaveys at my place, and I’m kind of amazed too.

I'm clocking in at 4 Peaveys (4.5 if you consider my virtual T45 made from an Ibanez).
I will have 15 basses after I sell one unnecessary Fender asap. Peavey will be my biggest representation, followed by 3 Fenders, 3 Squiers, 2 (1.5?) Ibanez, and one each of G&L, Carvin and Lakland.

OK, I have been pouring through this thread now that I'm the owner of another fantastic US made Peavey (Cirrus 6) my 8th US Peavey. It did get me nostalgic, so I'll post a couple of my old favorites...
cirrus (5).jpg

My first bass was a '89 Fury (#1) which I mod'd and sold, then bought an '89 Foundation (#2)...

So, my #3(T40) and #4(Patriot):

Then we have #5 (Foundation):

#6 Peavey was a black 1993 Foundation that I wound up IMMEDIATELY selling to a teenager for her family band. (sadly no pics)

Then comes my TL5 (#7) which I swore I'd be buried with (the weight got to me at the time so I sold it). Pictured are before and after the addition of an Aguilar OBP3 which just rocked in that bass:

I'm really trying to reduce my collection of basses but I have been watching this Millennium 4 J/J auction on Reverb and this morning my love for Peavey basses got the best of me and I made a low offer...and the seller accepted. So now I have a Millennium 4 on the way to me. Something has to go. I'll wait until the Millennium arrives and then decide what to sell.

I think the one on GC also has the pickups switched out for EMG's, so that is enough for me to not consider it. The price is definitely high taking that into account, and I love EMGs.

I think this one has original electronics. I believe the one with the EMG's (clearly stated in the ad) was a black one.

I'm referring to this one- [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

If you zoom in, using the website, you can see there is a gap on either side of the pickups, and a marking in the bottom corner, which is indicative of EMG pickups.
