U.S. Peavey Club

Hey y’all!

Just had the transmission go out in my car, so I’m selling off most of my gear. I’m gonna be posting my red T-40 with rosewood board and a loaded sunburst T-40 body if anyone is interested.

I thought I’d give you Peavey guys the jump on it first before I post them in the classifieds! Feel free to PM me any questions!

I can also include a worn T-20 neck on the sunburst if interested! Both come with their original hardshell cases!

Hey guys!

You have no idea what this means to me. It’s seriously the nicest thing that’s ever happened to me! Although, I would prefer to sell my equipment and raise the money that way. I don’t feel comfortable taking your hard-earned cash! Please go ahead and refund yourselves. I’m still going to keep a bass and my amp setup. I’ll get the basses back one day:bassist:

Why haven't I found this club before?
I'm a happy Peavey bass owner since about 2010.

The red Fury was my first.
Sadly that one is now with a friend of mine. I needed to sell a few items and make some room for some PRS guitars I got in 2014.
But in 2016 I came across a deal on an Axcelerator 2T that I couldn't pass up. So i have that and the Forum.
I just recently did some recording with both, through the Tech 21 dp3x preamp/EQ/compressor/overdrive. These basses sound amazing, and have their own voice.

Since I won't get to rout it out and get it to it's final Ric-like form until next week, I took the 87 Patriot to practice last night to hear it in a band situation. It still has the lightly played Ernie Ball Slinky 45-105 strings it came with from the store. I installed a Hipshot drop tuner to get instant drop D. What a great sounding bass! The pickup location has a nice, tight punch to it. Can't wait to hear it after dropping in the neck pickup and getting those neck and blend tones. I can tell that I may end up playing this one quite a bit. It's probably going to the gig this weekend.

I haven't been a peavey freak as long as some of you guys,, but I have noticed a fairly generalized rise in prices since I have been on this board.

Yes, seems like everyone with a beat up Gen3 Fury or Foundation wants $300 or more. The days of $150 scores on near mint 80's Peaveys are coming to an end. Or at least much harder to find.

Ok, this was a first for me. Donate to the GoFundMe and the $$ comes bouncing back...I'm sure there is a good reason for that...Best of luck!
Hey brother - Special thanks to you. Kyle felt uncomfortable accepting $$ from fellow TB'ers. I had to respect his wishes.

You have no idea how much I appreciate starting the gofundme, and people actually donating! Seriously the nicesest thing anyone has ever done for me!

However, I just don’t feel right taking people’s hard-earned money when I have $1,000 or even more on guitar stands in my room, you know? I guess it’s just a pride thing haha.

If school wasn’t so darn expensive, I’d be fine haha. I’ll get the stuff back eventually:bassist:
