U.S. Peavey Club

Did you know that the G series only had a composite skin, and not a a full composite neck? It's either walnut or mahogany underneath. Take off one of the tuners if you're curious.
Yep, I'm gonna go with mahogany. It's a pretty thick skin though. I'm thinking 1/8" or so. I've had one of mine tunerless

Wait............... what????????????

either way its a different wood for the neck

try somthing different other then maple you know ?

but I seriously never knew this

Just a quick note - I'm scheduled to pick up a beautiful burst Foundation Saturday morning, a later model with the chrome knobs but with SuperFerrites. My wife and I are making an eight hour round trip - on our anniversary no less - to pick this up. Is that a woman or what? Thirty-one years together and she'll spend the day in the car to pick up my bass.

Mike,
Surprise her with dinner reservations (or lunch) someplace nice along the way. That's a good wife to spend 8 hours in a car, on her anniversary, to pick up your bass.
Yep, she's mo' debinitely a keeper. She's also collected darters and sculpins with me in the winter, wading in creeks with ice around the edges and snow on the ground. Greater love hath no woman. :D

I did just pick up Steve'N'Seagulls tickets, that's her favorite group. Probably stop for a steak or something similar. And we're going to Provino's Italian restaurant Sunday for Father's Day so probably Sunday night I'll be making an emergency shopping trip for new pants. :D

I Love the slotted knobs, but hate the gold knobs. Strong word, okay, Dislike the gold knobs. Black slotted on the EQ knobs makes sense, Fosho though.
