I'll PM you the serial if you still have any records that would allow you to confirm this. It's been hard to put this thing down since I got it! It shipped from New York to Florida and was still in tune when I got it. I think this is my new #1.
Holy smokes that looks AMAZING! Never saw one in that color or with a string thru bridge.
I can try to look through my sale history and see if I can locate a SN. I’ll let you know. That color is rare!

Well just completed the Dyna project. Purchased this bass to string it BEAD which I have done. I used Chromes and couldn't be happier with the range of sounds this instrument delivers. Really impressive. The B is not floppy at all. Thanks to @mech for multiple tips and a trick or two on how to file the nut and make a replacement truss rod cover. Also @mech, your advice on presetting the intonation was spot on. I only had to tweak one saddle slightly.
Frets were about as rusty as I've seen on any used bass I've bought and the previous player had scored the fretboard in several places with rounds. I was able to totally restore the rosewood and once the frets were cleaned up I found very little wear on them which is a nice bonus. Here are some pics of the finished product.

I did my Dyna BEAD, as I had never tried it before. Turned out great, too! Just a touch of widening of the nut slots and some intonation fine tuning and it was good to go.
A trick I’ve used, before buying nut slot files: 1) fold some sandpaper in half 2) get some old strings (ready for the trash) and use the .105 E first 3) lay the E in the fold of the sandpaper 4) keep it snug in the fold and pull a 2” section tight, this becomes your B slot file. If that isn’t big enough for the B you plan to use, use a layer of paper or sandpaper to increase the size of your makeshift file. Be extremely careful and take your time!!! You don’t want to remove nut material from the bottom of the slot, JUST the sides! If you can get a sharpie mark on the bottom of the slot, it will help you make sure you don’t file depth that you don’t want.
It seems that it is unusual to find Peavey basses in the wild around here, but I had an opportunity to play a Peavey Fury V. Made in Korea in 2000. The weight, the neck, the look....all great. Very easy player..better than other much more expensive basses there for me.....but the electronics are CRAP. Do other Peavey 5 strings basically have this same positive traits, like maybe the Cirrus or Millennium, but better electronics? (Import or USA). Has anyone been successful in replacing the electronics in a Fury V? What have you used?

Cirrus/ Millennium preamp. VFL pickups may not. I bought a Fury V a good while back for really cheap and like the electronics. Humbucking pickups and descent 3 band pre. Neck is good and the fretwork excellent. Liked it so much I swapped the satin hardware out for chrome with Gotoh GB707 tuners and "P" knobs. While I was dressing it up with over twice the cost in hardware that I had in the bass, I thought..."Here I am putting lipstick on a lily". Thus the name. Thanks to @58kites for finding it for me and working the deal.

I love my fury V. It prefers nickle wound strings, tried some roto sounds and it was no longer a bass.
That has been my experience too. The electronics in the USA made basses are very good. I own one Millennium and 3 Cirrus and would not change anything about the electronics. They all sound fantastic.
I am tempted to make them an offer for this one at my local store. It does need new strings and the electronics probably need replaced (maybe just the pots?), but it really feels great. I compared it to much more expensive basses and I kept coming back to it. The B string on it is really great too.
