I’m late to the club..thought you all might like to see an untouched Rudy that I came across with all of the case candy.Still has original strings and the plastic on the covers.
The owner was going to learn to be a rock star but dropped out after the second lesson. Its been stored ever since.
I played it out once so far and it is a monster.Cheers!

I would be willing to put money on it that you have the nicest Sarzo on the planet - seriously. I doubt there is one like yours. I'm also willing to bet that you got it cheap. Don't tell us, or we'll all cry.
PS - I bet Rudy doesn't even have one in that nice-a-shape. THAT thing belongs in the Smithsonian !!!

Man you can eat off that thing! Great looking bass and congrats on the new bass. Every sound clip I ever heard sounded fine to me. Never understood why they got bad press. It's what Rudy wanted at the time and it clearly worked for him.

Next week I have two Peavey basses scheduled to be delivered to me. Monday is a Millennium Plus 5 that was shipped on 12/28. UPS let it sit until this morning and finally started bringing it this way. Wednesday USPS is scheduled to deliver a Claro Walnut Cirrus 6 to me. This has been one I have been looking for and I am so happy to have it coming my way.

In the meantime.....check tracking......check tacking.......check tracking...tap foot....check tracking.............

Got any pictures? I'd love to see the Cirrus.

USPS did the exact same thing when my Millennium was shipped to me and then just left the package outside my door without knocking. Typical...

Really curious to see what your Milli looks like. I wanted the green four banger located in Mississipi on Ebay. The seller never got back regarding shipping. I would say 80% of owning a new Peavey is finding a color/finish that you like. They have sooooo many cool finishes.

I would have bought it right away if it had a Pau Ferro fingerboard. I finally made the owner an offer and we made a deal. I have another similar Millennium 5 but the top is not highly figured as this one is. The one I have is a great playing/sounding bass and I used it on my NYE gig.

I'm starting to catch on that certain builds sell in mere minutes compared to others. I was watching the gold finish but, I can't justify it and my luck isn't that good.

There is a red Millennium 5 on Reverb right now but the seller wants $900 for it and I think that is way too high. It is interesting to me that the red Millennium bass with less expensive tuners has a figured maple neck with mother of pearl dots. Both of the Millennium plus 5's I have were fitted with plain maple necks with black dots. It seems odd to me that a standard would have the upgraded neck and a Plus would not.

It's tricky. There are other models listed that are worth more than what he is asking. If it were an American Standard Fender P - it'd be right in the ballpark. It's a mystery how stuff like that works. I think the conflicting price points are based on the stigma of the company vs. those who really know what they have.

I don't want to sound like a hypocrite because I know these instruments are usually worth their weight if taken care of. However, it's a buyer market...

It's possible that it was a custom order or maybe there was a gaf on the production floor. Extra neck? Extra body?

Extra neck?

I would think it is the original neck since it has a matching head stock. I’ve owned a lot of basses. The Millennium was evidently designed to compete with Lakland. I owned several Lakland 5’s and the Millenniums sound better to me.

The entire electronics in the Cirrus and Millennium basses are superior to most everything offered by others.

I am still shocked by my Forum passive P/J bass that I have about $60 in. Hey, I paid more for the TI flats than I paid for the bass. It is unquestionably a Fender killer. That is remarkable.
