U.S. Peavey Club

Fretless beauty. The price is high though, and this particular seller's descriptions are getting shorter all the time. How rare are fretless T40s?

It is certainly a beaut! Not sure what to think of that production number he throws out. 400 total? 400 in sunburst? Nonetheless, it is a factory fretless and T40s have certainly gone way up in value in the last few years. Certainly the first $1000 offer may get the nod.

Couldn't get a grand of my money, nice as it is.
Or My $1629.51AUD PLUS Shipping costs..i'll stick with my fretted 1979 T-40 thanks anyway loll

That's nothing, there's a nutter outside of Blackpool asking £1895 for a white T-40 :roflmao:

Peavey T-40 Bass Guitar | Reverb

$2589.50 USD  Only $3332.84 in your Aussie dollars @Giffro
That's just silly money for a T40. You could import from the US, pay shipping and taxes and still have a lot of change. I could have bought 10 of mine for what the Blackpuddlian guy is asking for his.
However, there was a similarly foolishly priced bass locally a while back. I contacted the seller asking if there was a typo, and he replied his wife wanted him to get rid of it, but he wanted to keep it so he priced it such that it either wouldn't sell, or he'd justify it going to himself by getting lots too much money for it.
