Been reading about economics and just assumed he was named after economist John Maynard Keynes.
I didn't bother to look it up, usually "black" names are very consistant in their spellings.

Maynard Keenan is a pretty cool name, maybe some guy named that should start a band called Tool or something....

Just caught them (two of the three, Rex wasn't playing for whatever reasons) live last month with the Melvins, and Weedeater opening. Still prefer Pepper's stuff with COC, but all this stuff is way off topic.
I've always thought MADTV was a lot funnier than SNL. I liked it better a few years back when they had Tina, Rachel, and Molly - it seemed funnier then.
