UEFA Champion's League Final

Drogba screwed himself - And I was soooo happy when it happened. My mates and I were all sitting in the pub screaming "YES!" haha. Honestly, what a snugglemuffin, why risk getting sent off 2 minutes before the end of extra time, and penalties, during the FINAL?

:crying: <--- John Terry

I'm sorry, popinfresh can you speak up a bit? I can't hear you for all the sounds of repeated, glorious and emphatic victory going on around me. :smug:

Oh no need to apologise, that's not a sport either!

This is footy:

;)

And cried? :D

The look of the umpire says to me "get up you big girl". Notice how in my second picture, the guy who hit him is simply standing over him whilst he's knocked out, and his teammate isn't even looking. Whilst in your picture, everyone has their knickers in a knot ;)

Come to Aus one day Bruce and we'll show ya how it's done! heheh

I reckon that the MU Rowdies will draw 1-1 with Red Star Chelsea and Man U win on penalties.

Uncanny!

I was reading a book but had the game turned on, it was hard for me. As a Liverpool fan I have an ingrained hate of all things ManU and I thoroughy hate Chel$kie also. So this was a lose-lose situation for me. :(

I was amazed at the stupidity that Drogba showed, he has the experience so he should know better!

It is fun watching the rumor mill in the the tabloids... Now they are talking about that Ronaldo will pherhaps be sold...

There are also stories about Juve buying Xabi Alonso from Liverpool so they(Liverpool that is) can buy Gareth Barry.... :hmm: not happy with that.

I saw him interviewed about 5 times in the last 24 hours - by Sky,ITV,BBC and in every interview he says "I'm staying!" .

And why not!!?? Man U are the wealthiest club in the world with the most fans and potential for earning!

I'm sure he's not averse to a bit of money!! ;)

Yeah, I doubt that he will leave.

So how bout that pitch?

It's beautiful, especially compared to the one my league plays on.

I watched the match in the St. James's Gate Pub on the Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam. The crowd was split probably about 60% (including me) / 40% for Man U. It's a very unusual experience for me to root for a side that actually ends up winning. ;) The downside: I hate to see an important match settled on penalty kicks; it seems so artificial. Even though I wanted Man U to win, I had to feel really bad for John Terry when he slipped.

I was also surprised a couple days later to hear that Chelsea sacked their manager.

In other news, congrats to Hull City on their promotion.

The entire world waits for better ways to settle football draws than PK's. A flawed system, to be sure. But still perhaps the best of the flawed suggestions to date.

I'd rather they get rid of the 30 min extra time before PK's.

Decent game, I enjoyed watching it. Looking forward to Euro in H Def.
