Ukelele Bass Tuning Machines

I have a Caramel Ukelele Bass that has a stripped-out tuner. I'm looking for recommendations on finding replacement tuners for it. Technically I just need one for the left side A string. I've found a set on ebay from China, but am looking for options. I'm also looking for any advice on avoiding this in the future. I think it was caused by the windings slipping down onto the retention nut for that tuner and of course me trying to power through it with brute force. Have any of you seen this issue before? TIA!

The solution to my question were these tuners: U-Bass Tuner Set of four – MGB. Shipped very quickly and were reasonably priced. I was much more careful with how the silicone strings wound on the post and made sure that they were short enough and did not slip onto the retaining nut for the tuner.
