Excellent demo track and playing! I'm really intrigued by this Epic '62. I've been enjoying the Fender PV63 I recently installed but I'm wondering if I want something with a little more high end. It's interested that the PV63 sounds very similar to the stock pickup in my Fender Fullerton '62 Reissue P bass.
The Klein Epic ‘62 pickup is, after intensive testing, a very fine sounding ‘60s P-bass pickup, and it is even quite powerful without being thunderous.
A bit less bass-oriented than the Fender PV ‘63 pickup which it has replaced, a bit (a bit) less powerful but clearer and it releases nice growly tones when paired with a solid set of flatwound strings.
Highly recommended.

Again, my AO ‘60s P-bass with its now Klein Epic ‘62 pickup, SVT Emu-amp, mild compression, tone @ 1/3 and LaBella flats:

For all the other junkies that frequent this thread I just listed a Klein 62 and an Arcane 65 in the classifieds. Love them both but I've settled on my pickups and would like to free up space.

Hi all, been a while. Just wanted to say the 70s Velvet Hammer pickups I put in my P Bass a while back are still excellent pickups that are great for recording.
I'll probably never see another set, so I'm glad to have this one.
I'm guessing the Delano pickups as above might be pretty similar sounding, but I'm not positive.

Thanks for posting. I am contemplating a double P build and was thinking of putting one of these in the bridge position.
You're description is what I'm looking for.
