Ultra minimal pedalboards

The v3 release just happened a few weeks ago, and there's only like 6 in circulation at the moment with ~6 more in-queue; I'd be a bit shocked if any of them were in this thread  but I'm active around here to answer questions whenever! (v1 was a 1-off, and v2 was a one-off as well; v3 is the first "mass-production-capable" build where I stopped hand-wiring available-commercial-parts like a Myvolts Ripcord, and actually designed all the internals: usbc->power conversion, and I/O boards)

There's 2 output models: one with the same guts as the DImStick (SushiBoxFX transformer), and one that just utilizes the HXStomp's balanced output with all of the "worries" people have when utilzing them addressed: Phantom Power protection, Ground Lift ability, Left Phase switch, and a Stereo Sum switch (if you decide to run stereo)

My ACTUAL minimalist board is probably my DImStick and nothing else. I only play a passive bass at the moment so usually enjoy a tuner and something with at least B/T eq (spark booster for example.). I don’t slap and usually play finger style- so barely even need compression if Inuse my amp and cabinet. For a gig with a PA, the “back-up” in my bag is just the DImStick.
Anyway- I’m a baby gear nerd with some disposable income so whatever. But I probably could cover every scenario with 4-5 interchangeable pedals in 2 slots with the DImStick. Or if I really dive into line6, get your HXOne switches or a stomp
and that guy.

“In conclusion:” Quality gear!

Of course, here is another of mine for a, unplugged singer songwriter duo.
Zoom MS60B+ into Pedalnetics DIm Stick with a mini power bank that also runs a Zoom Q2HD recorder and iPadAir we go direct to a mixer into powered PA speakers.

I put this together recently, it’s a Pedaltrain PB3 riser ‘board’, Schu-Tone Felis (mini Phat Phuk B) into Schu-Tone Rampart (Green Muff w/mids), into MXR Octave, TC Chorus and TC Tuner.

Very small footprint and 4 solid sounds.

Still figuring out power as I only have a 4-way EBS daisychain spare. Medium-term plan is to move my Gigrig Isolators to along the top of the board, but that won’t happen until June because reasons. So until then, maybe I get a 6-way EBS daisy, or perhaps a mini MXR brick for that top section. It doesn’t look like it from the photos, but there’s actually space for another 1590a horizontally…so power should eventually be quite neat.

I love the pedal riser boards! I’ve been updating mine and hope to repost it soon. As for power, I actually moved to power banks and a 5v to 9v converter then using the new D’Addario adjustable daisy chain. I haven’t installed everything yet but it works and, while it doesn’t isolate pedals from each other, it does isolate it from any house power

Yessir! With added photo?!?!? lol

I have held off on the aftershock but I am to understand that they are very versatile (as are many SA products.). I am sure you know there is a "Source Audio sorcerer's Society too ? lol. Anyway- I like it and this thread needed new blood.

Conspiracy to commit electronics- kit put together to do the tube AND transformer thing. I bought it used but you could assemble it yourself if you are comfortable. it’s a pretty great “through” or XLR out to add some organic chutzpah to the digital stuff.

ETA: that is called the “Steddi Go.”
