If you're a working player that gigs often and does this bass playing thing for real, try not to offer opinions that oppose those of bedroom players and keyboard warriors. Even if your opinions are based on years of experience playing hundreds of gigs, the remarks of those whose playing experience does not go beyond playing at company picnics or a once-every-three-months rotation at church will ALWAYS count more. Especially if their list of gear is longer than yours.
Most established pros already know this, but in case you missed the briefing - if you are a competent, praiseworthy figure with notoriety that has actually accomplished something in the industry, don't even bother to post here. The inevitable arguments and disagreements with your empirical knowledge won't be worth defending. You'll always end up looking the fool if you don't get banned first. As more than one Bass Player Magazine cover boy has told me, "nobody needs to put themselves through that".
